La strada (1954)
Federico Fellini
Like Fellini's "the road" used the language of the film, for people now, I think has been very strange. People are all eloquent and full of philosophy. Even if they are as stupid as Forrest Gump, they often speak epigrams. But in 1956 Fellini wouldn't let his stupid girl talk, or the rough-hedged man of the world, the brisk lad on the tightrope, whose greatest ideas were so obvious to us that they only came up once.
"The road" is classical, and its reticence today has become a normal accident. Without brooding over humanity or questioning its future, Fellini tells a simple story in chronological order. That doesn't seem to be the way movies are these days.

The heroine of the film, the silly young girl, is really dazzling. She never grinned or needed much food. She was shy and did not know how to express her love and joy in life. She had big eyes, and when she turned a little, her infinite sadness would suddenly turn into chaos of joy. The screen was warm as spring. I couldn't help laughing out loud. This is the charm of the image, words can not express. Mother to a ten thousand dollar sold the heroine, the heroine compliant with wandering performer busk, she never complain, sometimes she tears silently, finally abandoned, the director said no detailed the whereabouts of her, she gives all her love, restraint of love is not common in today's movies. This kind of love was deep, impressive.
