The theme of my painting is generally around the relationship between people, because it is attractive and important to me. We cannot live without the relationship between people and the relationship with the animal also the environment which around us. I want to continue the painting practice with this theme. I temporarily define my personal painting style as Figurative Expressionism. For me, the completion of a painting is not very important, but the balance of the painting and the story behind the picture.

    And I want to study painting of eternal and timeliness, not just in the image rendering time (like clocks and watches of Dali's Persistence of memory ) but what kind of picture can let a person feel the presence of the time, stand the test of time, even after many years still can let us feel empathy, this is what I want to learn. I admire Paul Cezanne, George Seurat,Pual Gauguin, Philip Guston ,Thomas Demand, R.B.Kitaj, Ugo Rondinone.

    As Arshile Gorky said, “The stuff of thought is the seed of the artist. Dreams form the bristles of the artist's brush. As the eye functions as the brain's sentry, I communicate my innermost perceptions through the art, my worldview.”I hope I can also express my views and my own stories through paintings.

    For me, whether a painting is complete is not very important. My focus may be on the feeling of the painting itself, whether it is overall and balanced. For me, painting is a tool for expressing and recording life, but it is not easy to present the things in my mind and in life to paintings.Maybe I should pay more attention to my own, the influence of Chinese culture on me, the influence of my Christian identity, my own personality, my growth experience and so on can be placed in my painting.
