Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010)

Directed by Edgar Wright
What I really appreciate is the innovation of the narrative mode of this film. I think this is a very obvious example of video games entering into the narrative of films。The film is based on a comic book about the heroine's current boyfriend battling seven evil ex-boyfriends. The story of the film is actually very close to those independent love films, which tells not only the love, but also the process of self-cognition. The games played by the characters in the movie and the way they appear are all novel and interesting. Let audiences feel happy and energetic. The game, band, love, fighting combine together, the whole rhythm is also very good.
The relationships in the film are actually the most complicated and messy I have seen in the past few years, but the director's methodical handling makes some of them seem reasonable.
Some of the clips are very experimental, and imitate the style of animation and game, making people feel like watching movies in the game. The Settings of each predecessor are completely different. The director lets you know the general development mode of the story but still can give people unexpected surprises.
